On November 13th, our company formally received the notification of award from Electricite du Cambodge for the 230kV and 115kV outdoor substation project in Cambodia.
This project, funded by a US$127 million loan from the Asian Development Bank, aims to support the Cambodian government in constructing four 230 kV and 115 kV transmission lines, ten transformer substations, and one energy storage project in Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Cham, and Takeo respectively. The project is divided into five sections, wherein, the 230kV and 115kV outdoor transformer substation section awarded this time was tendered by our company and POWERCHINA Fujian Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd as a joint venture, with the cooperation of POWERCHINA International Group Limited and POWERCHINA Sichuan Engineering Corporation Limited. Upon completion, the project will improve power supply reliability for Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Cham, Takeo, and surrounding cities in Cambodia.
This project is the first EPC project that our company won after entering the Cambodian market and the first ADB-funded power transmission and transformation project in both Southeast Asia and Central Asia. It has accrued invaluable experience for us in power transmission and transformation project development and bidding, thereby further boosting the SEPCO brand's reputation and influence in the Southeast Asian market.
