This project, recognized for its excellence, was presented at the signing ceremony of the summit.
The Jafurah Seawater Desalination and Water Supply Pipeline Project is situated in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia. The primary scope of work involves the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a seawater desalination plant with a daily production capacity of 80,000 cubic meters and a water pipeline stretching approximately 200 kilometers. Upon completion, the project will provide desalinated water to the gas field development facilities situated in Jafurah. Consequently, Saudi Aramco places a high priority on promoting the project and has aided the developer in achieving financial closure swiftly. Currently, the project has secured full funding and will officially start after the contract is signed. The successful execution of this project represented a new breakthrough in the company's seawater desalination and overseas long-distance pipeline operations. It signifies a significant advancement in the company's active participation in the national "Belt and Road" initiative and the group company's strategic focus on water, energy, sand, urban development, and digital technologies. Moreover, this project has not only expanded the company's international network but also boosted SEPCO's brand recognition in the Middle East market, which is of profound strategic importance for the sustainable growth of the company's international operations.
