On November 29th, Zhou Tiejun, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board, met with Emmanuel Bonifacio, Vice President of Renewable Energy Division at Total, and his delegation in China. Both parties have exchanged views and reached a consensus on the need to strengthen communication and coordination, promote the efficient implementation of ongoing projects, and continuously deepen cooperation in the field of new energy.
Zhou Tiejun warmly welcomed Emmanuel and his delegation. He provided a comprehensive introduction to the development of SEPCO Electric Power ConstructionCorporation and the implementation of new energy business in recent years, and introduced the five main businesses of POWERCHINA, namely“water, energy, sand, urban development, and digital technologies”. He noted that both parties share similar business areas and have consistent goals for achieving green transformation, and expressed a desire to improve information exchange and sharing, as well as establish a comprehensive and regular communication mechanism. He also hoped to further expand cooperation in various fields, such as new energy, hydrogen, and ammonia energy, with a focus on key regional markets including the Middle East and Africa, leading to the achievement of new business breakthroughs.
Emmanuel expressed admiration for SEPCO's recent accomplishments in the new energy sector, providing an in-depth overview of four business sectors of Total Energies, with a particular focus on the growth opportunities and development vision within the renewable energy sector. He indicated that, in alignment with the global“dual carbon”initiative, Total Energies is actively adjusting its development strategy, significantly boosting its investment in renewable energy, and aiming to achieve net zero emissions after 2030 while comprehensively advancing the transformation and upgrade of its energy business. Total Energies regards SEPCO Electric Power ConstructionCorporation as a long-term, stable partner. They expressed a desire to improve communication and coordination, innovate new collaboration models, integrate superior resources, and ensure the efficient execution of collaborative projects to achieve a mutually beneficial and win-win outcome.
