RMB 217,000 Donated to Yunnan Ludian Earthquake-stricken Area

At 16:30 (Beijing Time) on August 3, 2014, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit Ludian County of Zhaotong City in southwest China's Yunnan Province. As of August 8, 108,840 people have been affected by the earthquake, suffering heavy loss of life and property.

The earthquake affected the hearts of millions of thousands of Chinese and the staff of SEPCO. To help the affected people restore normal production and daily life and rebuild homes, SEPCO held an emergency meeting and decided to donate RMB 0.2 million to the disaster area. In addition, the Trade Union organized a voluntary donation campaign.

On the afternoon of August 13, the campaign was carried out at Jinan headquarter, Beijing subsidiary, and Jizan project site (Saudi Arabia) simultaneously. The campaign attracted enthusiastic response. RMB 17,500 was raised just in one hour.

These donations were remitted to Ludian disaster area by the Financial Management Department of POWERCHINA.
