On
Nov. 21, the company and MGC Power Corporation in Zambia formally signed the
700MW Coal-fired Power Station Project EPC Contract. The General Manager of the
company Liu Chuanming, the General Manager of the company in Africa Luo Laifeng
and the representative of Power Construction Corporation of China
(International) in Zambia Pan Yixiao attended the signing ceremony.
MGC 700MW Coal-fired Power Station Project is located in Mamba Town, Southern Province, Zambia and the distance from MCL2×150MW Coal-fired Power Station of our company that will be handed over in this year is 4 km. Both of them are a kind of pithead power plant and 2 sets of 350MW units will be planned to be installed. After the project is completed, the current situation of Zambia excessively depending on the hydraulic power generation will be greatly improved. This is another project signed by the company in Zambia, following MCL2×150MW Coal-fired Power Station, Bartuska-Mamba Highway Project, marking that the electric power and infrastructure market of SEPCO in Zambia and the whole Africa took a solid step again.
